The Zubieta neighbourhood of Usurbil has a treasure that is visible and available to both locals and visitors: the frontón court for playing the game of rebote. Its spectacularly distinctive playing area is a treasure, but so is this kind of pelota game. A game that might not be one of the most popular forms of pelota. However, architecturally, historically and culturally it is a gem of great importance. The game of rebote is one of the oldest forms of pelota in the Basque Country and is played all along the frontón court. There aren’t many courts like the one in Zubieta in Gipuzkoa province or anywhere else in the Basque Country.
